Small interfering RNA (siRNA), also known as Short interfering RNA (siRNA) or Silencing RNA (siRNA), is a class of Double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) molecule. Its called silencing RNA due to its involvement in silencing or inhibiting the expression of a gene.
siRNA is involved in a number of biological processes.
Note:
Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) is a nucleic acid composed of nucleotides and plays a major role in protein synthesis as it is involved in the transcription, decoding, and translation of the genetic code to produce proteins.
