What does h-index mean?

Hirsch index (h-index), also known as the Hirsch index or Hirsch number, is a metric used to measure the research output of scientists and scholars.
Researchers with higher h-index scores are generally considered to have a more significant impact in their field.
h-index is named after its creator, physicist Jorge E. Hirsch, who introduced the concept in 2005.
The h-index of a researcher reflects the number of their papers (h) that have received at least h citations each.
In other words, if a researcher has an h-index of 10, it means they have published at least 10 papers that have each been cited at least 10 times.
