Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) is a law that was passed by the United States Congress in December 2021.
The law prohibits the importation of goods mined, produced, or manufactured wholly or in part in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) of China.
UFLPA was passed in response to reports of widespread forced labor in the XUAR. It is designed to prevent the importation of goods that are made with forced labor.
Note:
Xinjiang, officially known as the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR), is an autonomous region in the northwest of China.
The full form of UFLPA is Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act
