Let the common citizens of the country fly (Hindi: उड़े देश का आम नागरिक, Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik, UDAN) is an airport development scheme by the government of India to improve air connectivity. It aims to provide air connectivity to unserved and underserved airports and make air travel more affordable and accessible to the general public in smaller cities and towns.
The full form of Udan is "Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik," which translates to "Let the common citizens of the country fly." It is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and is implemented by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
