What does SQ mean?
Subcutaneous injection (SC or SQ), pronounced as “Sub-Q” (sub cue), is used to deliver medicine into the fatty tissue just below the skin and just above the muscle. Subcutaneous means under the skin. The medicine is absorbed slowly by the small blood vessels under the skin.
