Stoller Afferent Nerve Stimulator (SANS) is a treatment used for percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation.
SANS is named after its inventor, urologist, Dr. Marshall Stoller.
SANS is used by urologists to treat urinary urge incontinence, urgency, frequency, and pelvic pain. The treatment is delivered by sending a mild electrical current through a slim needle that is placed in the ankle where the tibial nerve is located.
