National Health Insurance Scheme (Hindi: राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना, Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana, RSBY) was launched by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India on April 1, 2008, to provide health insurance cover to Below Poverty Line (BPL) population.
