Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) details the procedures to be followed and the actions to be taken in order to properly resettle and compensate affected people and communities. It specifies all resettlement arrangements and the measures for avoiding, minimizing, or compensating losses or other negative social impacts resulting from resettlement.
RAP plays a vital role in almost all development projects where people are required to be displaced due to the implementation of project activities. It is essential that project-affected persons are resettled before the commencement of the construction activity.
