Quantum dot Light Emitting Diode (QLED) refers to a type of Liquid Crystal Display (LED) backlit technology that uses quantum dots to produce more accurate and vibrant colors.
Quantum Dots (QD) are tiny semiconductor particles that emit light when they are hit by a photon of light or an electron, they can re-emit that energy in the form of light. The color of the light that is emitted depends on the size of the quantum dot.
QLED is cable of producing improved picture quality than a conventional LED Display in terms of brightness and diverse colors, which is well suited to showing off High Dynamic Range (HDR) content.
The full form of QLED is Quantum dot Light Emitting Diode
