Q-carbon a new type of carbon that is harder and brighter than naturally formed diamonds. Q-carbon is made by heated up amorphous carbon using laser heating technique and was rapidly cooled, or quenched (that’s where Q-carbon gets its name), which rapidly cools material by submerging it in a liquid, transforming it into the new material. Q-carbon is magnetic at room temperature.
