PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds (PUBG) is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation. PUBG Corporation is a subsidiary of Bluehole, a South Korean development studio and publisher of video games. The game’s genre ‘battle royale’ was inspired from the Japanese film ‘Battle Royal’, which told the story of a number of students transported to an island and forced to battle each other to be the sole survivor.
