Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is an extension of the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) used in many communications networks to increase network speed and efficiency. The technology works by dividing the transmission signal into several smaller sub-signals, which are then transmitted at various (orthogonal) frequencies simultaneously. Furthermore, by subdividing the channel, small packets can be parallel transmitted to multiple devices simultaneously.
The full form of OFDMA is Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access
