Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS) is a condition that occurs when your body's immune system mistakenly identifies proteins in certain raw fruits, vegetables, and nuts as a threat.
OAS is typically triggered by proteins found in these foods that are structurally similar to proteins found in pollen, and people who have allergies to pollen are more likely to develop OAS.
