National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) is an organisation in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation of the Government of India. NSSO is the largest organisation in India conducting regular socio-economic surveys. NSSO conducts nationwide sample surveys on various socio-economic issues in successive rounds, each round covering subjects of current interest in a specific survey period.
