N connector, also known as a type-N connector, is a type of Radio Frequency (RF) connector used in electronic devices and systems. The N connector features a threaded body and a center contact pin that is surrounded by a ground plane.
The N connector was developed by Paul Neill of Bell Labs and it is designed to provide a reliable, low-loss connection at microwave frequencies.
The "N" in the name is derived from his surname, Neill.
