Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) is a group of blood disorders in which the bone marrow does not produce enough healthy blood cells. Instead, it produces immature or defective cells, leading to various complications.
Note:
The bone marrow is the spongy tissue found in the cavities of bones, and it is responsible for producing blood cells, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
Red blood cells carry oxygen to the body's tissues, white blood cells fight infection, and platelets help the blood clot.
