What does LUFS mean?
Luteinized Unruptured Follicle Syndrome (LUFS) is a condition that affects ovulation in women.
LUFS occurs when the dominant follicle, the one containing the egg, fails to rupture and release the egg (ovulation) despite the presence of a Luteinizing Hormone (LH) surge. This results in the formation of a persistent structure called a Luteinized Unruptured Follicle (LUF).
