Long Term Evolution-Machine Type Communication (LTE-MTC or LTE-M) is a Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) radio technology standard developed by 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) to enable a wide range of cellular devices and services.
LTE-M is used widely in the Internet of Things (IoT) applications, such as for interconnecting objects such as IoT sensors and actuators, or other industrial devices via radio modules. It enables the connection of simple devices via cellular network over long periods and low power consumption.
