Locator/Identifier Separation Protocol (LISP) or Locator/ID Separation Protocol, is a networking protocol that separates the addressing and routing functions in Internet Protocol (IP) networks.
LISP separates the identity of an endpoint in the network (known as the Identifier) from its location (known as the Locator).
