The flow factor (Kv) is a measure of the flow capacity of a valve or flow control device.
Kv is defined as the volume of water (in cubic meters) that will flow through a valve in one hour when the valve is completely open and there is a pressure drop of 1 bar (100 kPa) across the valve.
