Key Service Unit (KSU) or Key System Unit, is the switching control unit for a Key Telephone System (KTS), which controls routing and operation of an analog telephone system. Key Telephone Systems are usually used by companies with fewer employees. A key system has telephones with multiple buttons (“keys”) and lights that indicate which lines are in use.
