Kabuki Makeup Syndrome (KMS) is a multiple malformation/mental retardation syndrome that was first described in Japan but is now reported in many other ethnic groups. “Kabuki Makeup Syndrome” gets its name due to the facial resemblance to the makeup of actors in Kabuki, a traditional Japanese Theatre.
