In-Situ Leaching (ISL) or in-situ recovery (ISR) is a mining process used to recover minerals such as copper and uranium through boreholes drilled into a deposit. In situ leaching refers to the mining technique of injecting water underground to dissolve ore and bringing the impregnated water to the surface for extraction.
