In-Plane Switching (IPS) is a type of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) display panel technology. IPS was developed to solve the limitations of Twisted Nematic (TN) LCD.
IPS provides more uniform color reproduction and greater viewing angles than traditional Twisted Nematic TN LCD.
