Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) is a nuclear research center engaged in scientific research and advanced engineering directed towards the development of Fast Breeder Reactor technology. It was originally called as the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and was renamed Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research (IGCAR) in 1985. IGCAR is located in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu, India.
