Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the administrative civil service of the Government of India.
IAS officers hold key positions in the Union Government, States, and public-sector undertakings. They may be posted as district collectors, revenue officers, or in other administrative positions at the state or national level. They also have the authority to take decisions on matters related to their areas of responsibility.
