What does H mean?

magnetic field strength (H), also called magnetic field intensity, is a measure of the amount of magnetic field per unit current and it is a vector quantity.
The relationship between the magnetic field strength (H) and the magnetic flux density (B) is given by the equation H = B/μ - M, where μ is the permeability of the medium and M is the magnetization of the medium.

Note:
A magnetic field is a field of force that surrounds a magnet or a current-carrying wire.
