Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an entrance exam conducted annually for admissions to various science and technology post-graduate programs in India. Administration and conduction of the exam is supervised jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
