Frame Relay (FR) is a telecommunication technology that breaks data stream into small data packets called frames. The objective of Frame Relay is to reduce network delays, protocol overheads and equipment cost for intermittent traffic between Local Area Networks (LAN’s) and between end-points in a Wide Area Network (WAN).
