Fish-Odor Syndrome (FOS), also known as Trimethylaminuria (TMAU), is a metabolic disorder characterized by the excessive excretion of the compound Trimethylamine (TMA) that causes an unpleasant, fishy smell.

Note:
TMA is a chemical that is produced by bacteria present inside the human gut. This chemical has a fish-like odor.
