Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) is a form of power of attorney whereby one person (‘the donor’) appoints another person (‘the attorney’) to make decisions in legal and financial matters in the event that the donor no longer have the mental capacity to make own decisions.
Note:
Unlike a normal power of attorney that will cease to have effect as soon as its donor becomes mentally incapacitated, the EPA will continue to be in effect.
