Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) is a meeting called by a company's board of directors or management outside of the regularly scheduled Annual General Meeting (AGM).
EGM is held to address specific issues that require the attention and approval of the company's shareholders. It is essentially special meetings convened to deal with urgent matters that can't wait for the next AGM.
