Electrocorticography (ECoG) is the process of recording electrical activity from the surface of the brain using electrodes that are placed directly on the brain.
ECoG is a more invasive process than Electroencephalography (EEG), which records electrical activity from the scalp, but it provides higher spatial and temporal resolution.
Note:
Electrocorticography (ECoG) is the process of recording electrical activity from the brain, while Electrocorticogram (ECoG) is the recorded tracing or graph of the electrical activity obtained through Electrocorticography (ECoG).
