Electrocardiogram (ECG, German: Elektrokardiogramm, EKG) is a medical test to record the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time.
ECG machine uses electrodes that are placed on the outer surface of the skin to detect the electrical signals that are produced by the heart.

Electrocardiography (ECG) refers to the process of recording and interpreting the electrical activity of the heart using an Electrocardiogram (ECG) machine .
