Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) is the genetic material that carries the instructions for the development and function of all living organisms. It is often described as the blueprint of an organism, as it contains all of the genetic information necessary to build and maintain the organism.
DNA has four types of bases: Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Cytosine (C), and Guanine (G) that pair in a specific way.
