Dimetridazole (DMZ) is a nitroimidazole class drug that combats protozoan infections. It is used for the prevention and treatment of histomoniasis in turkeys, trichomoniasis in pigeons, genital trichomoniasis in cattle, and the treatment of dysentery in swine.
