Disc Jockey (DJ) is a person who selects and plays recorded music for a live audience at a party, nightclub, or other events. DJ mixes different sources of pre-existing recorded music and add additional music or lyrics to it.
Originally, the disk referred to phonograph records, while disc referred to the Compact Disc, and has become the more common spelling.
