Consumer Ultra-Low Voltage (CULV) processors are a class of Intel processors for ultra-light notebook computers and embedded devices. CULV processors are designed to use less power, so that the laptop’s battery can last longer and the laptop doesn’t generate as much heat. CULV laptops can be made thinner and lighter than more traditional laptops using traditional processors, CULV processors don’t heat up enough to require the chassis to have a fan or other cooling components.
