Conditioned Taste Aversion (CTA) is a learning behavior process where animals are trained to reject toxic food after gastrointestinal discomfort has been produced. CTA occurs when an animal associates the taste of a certain food with symptoms caused by a toxic, spoiled, or poisonous substance.
