Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) is a preliminary or qualifying exam to test the analytical skills, reasoning ability, and aptitude of the candidates. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year to select candidates for the Civil Services Main Exam.
CSAT is a preliminary stage of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) which is conducted by the UPSC to select officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.
