It uses a special kind of pacemaker called a Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Pacemaker (CRT-P) or a Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator (CRT-D) to restore the normal timing pattern of the heartbeat or to help the heartbeat with the right rhythm.
