Certified Executive Chef (CEC) is a designation given by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) for chefs who demonstrated a standard level of culinary competence and expertise through education, experience, knowledge, and skills consistent with the executive chef level.
CEC is the department head usually responsible for all culinary units in a restaurant, hotel, or foodservice establishment.
