What does CCB mean?

Calcium Channel Blockers (CCB) are a class of drugs that prevent calcium from going through calcium channels in the heart, which decreases heart rate, and the blood vessels, which causes dilation of blood vessels. The combination of decreased heart rate and dilated blood vessels lowers blood pressure. CCB is commonly prescribed to treat conditions of the heart and blood vessels, such as high blood pressure, Raynaud's phenomenon, and some abnormal heart rhythms.
