Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (AIS) is sexual development disorder when a person who is genetically male is insensitive to male sex hormones (androgens). As a result, the person has some of the physical traits of a woman, but the genetic makeup of a man.
AIS affects the development of a person's genitals and reproductive organs.
